Age ratings on films are guidelines for different age groups of what they can watch and what they can not watch. It also includes certain themes for certain ages.
Horror film would include 'very strong violence', 'strong horror', 'strong blood and gore' and perhaps a few others in some cases.
A film which is rated 12 may include some strong language, but it must be infrequent.
